BATTLE HORSES
For the battle we get armed, equipped, prepared.
In the old days, we used armors formed by pieces of resistant materials to protect ourselves. Nowadays, we get armed with courage, prudence, patience, truth and lies, knowledge, ignorance, sanity or madness, we arm ourselves with those small pieces of strong materials to protect our souls.
Series of 6 sculptures depicting famous battle horses throughout history: Kidron (John J. Pershing, US army general), Incitatus (Roman Emperor Caligula), Bucepphalus (Alexander the Great), Matsukaze (Maeda Keiji, Japanese samurai lord), Llamrei (King Arthur), Marengo (Napoleón Bonaparte). Dimensions (average): 35 cm x 40 cm x 15 cm. Materials: handmade ceramic, copper wire. Technique: low temperature glazing. 2014
